the black jar is the STRONG HOLD whic is used to sleek the edges of hair this is more coily/natural. You don’t need much a small amount does the trick.

the WHITE jar is the medium hold! Don’t let the name fool you this formula still has an amazing hold. 
the medium hold is used for hair that is less coily/ finer hair but still can be used on natural hair!
